Blogging Break

Just wanted to let y’all know that I’m going to take a bit of a blogging break. I’ll be back, maybe in about a week (maybe less…).
I put it all out there — the pleasant and unpleasant, the truth, the painful and ugly truth and all my emotions, and realize that one of the risks to putting it out there having feedback from readers — feedback that isn’t always pleasant, isn’t expected and isn’t what I wanted to hear.
So I’m going to just step away for a moment or two, try and gain some perspective and then return with better focus and outlook.
I’ll miss y’all but will still be visiting around to your blogs and leaving my normal crazy comments…

why don’t you just block the mean commenters, isn’t there a way to block them or make your posts private?
I’m sorry that someone upset you (of course, the selfish being that I am can’t help wonder, “is it me?” If so, I’m SORRY!). You deserve support right now. It’s true that telling it to the world can open us up to nasty comments (I think you’ll remember my own run-in w/ someone a few weeks ago), but there are a lot more of us who truly do care about being there for you.
But I understand. Two things: 1) email me anytime, and 2) think about either enabling comment moderation, as mama2drama suggested, or starting a new password-protected blog that only invitees can access. I’m thinking of doing that myself for certain things I want to discuss with some, but not everyone.
Take care, hun. I too wish we didn’t live on opposite sides of the country!
