Because Uncles Know…

…what little boys really like!
The boys and I went to the National Arboretum on Sunday and met up with my brother Patrick and his boyfriend, Kevin. It was an overcast/drizzly day, but the azaleas are blooming and it’s beautiful there. Jack and Will, however, were not at all interested in seeing the azaleas after Uncle Patrick and Kevin presented them with Transformer walkie-talkies.
I, personally, preferred the serene beauty (if you can ignore the Japanese tourists) of the walk through the woods with all the beautiful blooms to the squawk of walkie-talkies.
It won’t surprise you to know that by the end of our visit, both Jack and Will were soaking wet from being around this fountain..
…and its cascading water.
I believe it was shortly after this picture was taken that Jack asked “Where are we actually going, Mom?” (what?) and Will said “Yeah, yeah, Mommy…flowers” and walked away (i.e. NOT interested, silly Mommy!!).

Too adorable. Flowers are a little boring. Fountains, however, are fun.
Great pics. Looks like a wonderful day!
OMG, your boys are adorable! Yeah, yeah, to hell with the flowers, right? Mine are the same way. “Yeah, mom, pretty, mmm hmm…” Sounds like so much fun, though!
i always wanted some walkie talkies. is that holly in the background? :o)
ps: will is just adorable in that yellow raincoat! like a little baby duck
Jae — Yes, of course that’s Holly. I think really Patrick only inivted us to join them so that I would bring Holly.
Heh, “fountains”. Otherwise known as “small boy magnets”! Looks like a really lovely day out. And your boys are gorgeous. But you knew that.
oh yes… gadgets are such boy toys! at least they weren’t bored and asking when they could go home, lol!!
Hey, you are tagged to do a 6 things meme. See my blog for details.
Yes Uncles know! My kids got wonderful real life walkies from their Uncle T. Unfortunately he lives an hour away and this girly queen mama they got, cant figure them out because they are so high tech. I bet the Transformer ones are great fun for your little guys!
